The early church fathers measured the maturity of believers by the relationship they had with God: 1 believer, 2 disciple, 3 servant, 4 friend, and 5 son or daughter.

The Bible says we have all of these when we are born again, but the question is: "What levels are you living at?"
Each of the levels is briefly explained with scripture. Then the problem of staying at the lower levels is revealed.
This is a new paradigm. It's not just based on what we believe or our behavior (e.g. spiritual disciplines). It's based on our actual love relationship with Jesus and the Father.

What relationship do you want to have with God? With Jesus?
Tell them. What do you want to be able to do in that relationship? Ask them to help you get there.
The 5 levels of relationship can reframe your thinking about your life as a Christian. If relationship is God’s priority, then how can you make relationship with Him your priority?
