There's a time to work and there's a time to rest. Wisdom is to know what time it is.
#2minutetransformation
One day, while preparing for a meeting with my Pastor, I realized I was overpreparing for the meeting. I was feeling a little insecure about the project I was working on and was overworking to make up for my feelings of inadequacy.
I was tired, but just couldn’t stop myself from working. God sometimes speaks to me through pictures. Suddenly I saw one, like a clip from movie:
I saw myself on a dock, I was pulling on a rope. The rope was on my shoulder, I was leaning forward, with all my might. The rope was attached to the bow of a steamboat (a paddle wheeler like those used on the Mississippi in Mark Twain’s time). The kind of boat that carried over 200 people and tons of cargo.
It was hot, hard work. Sweat streamed from me. But I was amazed that I could pull such a huge boat. I was beaming with pride. Then God showed me the same scene from behind the steamboat. The Holy Spirit was in the water behind the paddle wheel of the boat pushing it and smiling, enjoying the joke.
I laughed. And relaxed.
Paul wrote: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
**Philippians 4:13 NKJV
Jesus said: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
**John 15:5 NIV
With Jesus – with can do anything. Without Him – nothing.
God was teaching me to do what He tells us, then trust Him for the results.
There is a time to work, but there is also a time to rest. Wisdom is to know what time it is.
God invites us to enter into His rest by trusting Him.
**Psalm 46:10 NASB
“Stop striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”
**Hebrews 4:9-11 ESV
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
***Activation Prayer***
Father, I turn this situation over to you. I put it in Your loving hands. Help me to “cease striving and know You are God – my God. I choose to enter into Your rest. Having done my part, Help me to trust you for the results.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

My goal is that you will meet God through these scriptures and stories and be filled with His presence, His power, and His purpose for your day. It is in meeting Jesus we are changed to become more like Him. And it is through His presence and power on us that others recognize Christ in Us.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to get so filled with the presence, the love, and the power of the Holy Spirit every day that you splash everyone around you and leave a trail of Holy Spirit wherever you go.
