A GPS sets a route for us to get where we're going. In the same way, scripture guides our decisions, leading us towards God's will for our lives.
Matthew 6:33 urges us, Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. All these things are things that we chase, the material things.
Proverbs 19:21 reminds us many other plans in a person's heart, but it's the Lord's purpose that prevails. Psalm 37:4-5 promises, Delight yourself in the Lord, and He'll give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in him, and he will do it. Trusting and delighting in God gets you in sync with his heart and his will.
The Bible serves as your spiritual gps. It warns you about choices that seem right but lead to disaster. It redirects you when you're on the wrong path, and it guides you toward God's plans and purposes for your life.
