Life gets busy, and sometimes we miss the gentle whispers of God calling us to step into His purpose for our lives. I did—until God gently softened my heart and drew me back to Him. This video invites you into deeper connection with God as you receive His new heart for you, a heart tender and responsive to His voice.

*The Slow Drift Away
Two summers ago, God brought the homeless into my life in a personal way. It seemed everywhere I went—outside the pharmacy, at grocery stores, or traffic lights—I encountered someone in need. Some asked for help, others stood silently, weighed down by mental illness.
I felt God nudging me to act. I withdrew cash and gave to everyone I could. I stopped to talk, prayed for them, and saw them as people, not just needs. Those moments, filled with God’s love, left a deep impression on me.
But that was almost two years ago. Life became busier—health, family, and work consumed my energy.
Recently, I was in a coffee shop when a homeless man walked in, carrying a small bag and walking with a limp. I flinched when he sat near me.
I avoided him I felt ashamed. My heart toward the homeless had hardened—not all at once, but little by little, as I focused on my own plans. When we focus only on what we want, we drift from God’s heart.
*I Will Give You a New Heart
Realizing this, I repented. On March 1, 2025, I had a powerful encounter with God. I asked Jesus, “What do you think about me?”
I saw a glowing, white-hot hand placing a heart into my chest. I heard Him say, “I have given you a new heart. I have taken out your heart of stone.”
Immediately, Ezekiel 36:26-27 came to mind:
“I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.”
God showed me my self-centeredness had hardened my heart. He gave me grace to change, renewing my heart to reflect His love and priorities.
*What Does It Look Like to Have the Heart of God?
Jesus was interrupted 35 times in the book of Mark, often leaving crowds to care for one person, and He never said no.
God reminded me of this when my friend Clyde had a stroke, leaving him paralyzed on his left side and unable to speak.
Late that night, Clyde’s wife reached out. My wife and I prayed with her and started a prayer chain. The next day, doctors said Clyde would never move his left side again. But we stood on God’s promises and prayed.
That afternoon, Clyde lifted his leg and arm! When we visited him, he smiled and said, “Hallelujah!” His recovery is ongoing, and this miracle happened because people embraced God’s heart, dropping their plans to pray for one person in need.
*Activation: Receive a New Heart
God wants to give you a heart tender and responsive to His voice.
Jeremiah 24:7 says,
“I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord.”
Pray with me:
“Father, remove any hardness in my heart. Give me a tender, responsive heart. Help me hear Your voice and follow Your nudges. Thank You for Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Let God renew your heart and lead you to live wholeheartedly for Him.
