What is more devastating than knowing you don’t have money to pay the rent or even feed your hungry children? Or seeing someone you love walk out the door, being diagnosed with an incurable disease, failing in school, the death of someone you love, or a mountain of debt you can’t repay?
We ALL experience times when life looks impossible. We lose the strength to go on. All too often, we’re alone, with no one to help us. We desperately need someone to come alongside us, to pick us up, to comfort us, to give us hope, courage, and the strength to go on. We need someone to share our burdens.
Like you, I’ve had those days. Sometimes, God placed people in my life to help me get back on my feet. Other days, God has done that himself!

The Greek word for comfort in the N.T. is parakaleó: To call to one's side, to exhort, to encourage, to comfort, to urge (Strong's Lexicon 3870)
God will come alongside you, to encourage (give hope, give strength, give courage to), to console (to ease grief and trouble).
