Satan has this strategy. Satan has no authority on the earth. Jesus took it away. What he does is he deceives us. 2 Corinthians 4:4 explains, the God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Satan, the God of this age has blinded our minds, so we can't understand the Bible unless God reveals it to us. We need God to remove Satan's blinders. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
We simply lack the capacity to understand or appreciate the value of God's word unless God reveals it to us. And the power to live like Jesus comes only from God speaking to us. And he does that most often through this Word. The key here is only through relationship with God will our spirits receive the precious truths of His Word.
The Bible is spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14 the person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, but considers them foolishness and cannot understand them because they're discerned only through the Spirit.
