Today, We Fight
We put on the armor not just to let Satan slash, hit, and stab us. No, we put on the armor God gives us so we can fight.
Say this out loud: “Today, we fight!” (We is you with Holy Spirit by your side. You are not alone in this battle.)
The armor of God has one offensive Weapon: the Word of God. Pick it up. Don’t ever put it down. Your Bible is the Sword of God. It is the Sword of the Holy Spirit.
The Power of God’s Word
Isaiah 55:10-11 NIV
As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
When God opens his mouth He sends forth words to accomplish what He desires, to fulfill His purposes. God's word completes God’s work. In the beginning, God spoke everything into existence. He still does.
Jesus Spoke God’s Word to Defeat Satan – You Can Too!
. Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert. Satan came into the desert to tempt Jesus who was weak from 40 days of fasting.
Satan twisted scripture into lies to deceive and tempt Jesus. Jesus had the same answer to every temptation: “It is written” and a Bible verse. Bible truth defeated Satan every time. (John 4:1-11)
Jesus frequently spoke to problems, commanding them to submit to God’s will. He cast out demons with words. He commanded sickness to leave.
He spoke “Peace, be still.” to the wind and waves during a terrifying storm while on a small boat in the Sea of Galilee. (see Mark 4:39)
Jesus told us if we speak to the mountain (whatever it is in our lives that we want removed) and believed, God would remove it for us. See Mark 11:23.
When we declare scripture we are speaking to the mountain (the problem) that needs to be removed from our lives. And God does it!
Jesus was Given All Authority. He gave His Authority to You.
See Matthew 28:18-20 NIV
A King’s Decree
When a king decrees a thing, all the might, power, and resources of His kingdom are behind those words. His servants, his soldiers, his resources, and all the king’s power are used to make sure what the King said will happen. If the King's words are opposed, the King's army goes forth to fight for those words and make them happen.
God's words - His promises, His principles, and His decrees may be opposed. They may even be delayed, but if we fight alongside Heaven, God's Words will come to pass.
Watch the Activation for practical steps to put God's promises to work for you.
2 Scriptures to help you stand firm in your battle:
1 God Keeps His Promises
Joshua, just before he died, said to the leaders of Israel:
“Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.
Joshua 23:14 NIV
2 By Faith and Perseverence You Receive what God Promised
Hebrews 6:11-13 NET
But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherit the promises.
I pray that each of you will through faith and perseverance cling to the hope God’s Word (His decrees) give and receive the fulfillment of the promise of God’s Word in your lives. In Jesus name. Amen.
