You expect to be punished when you do wrong. Jesus was punished - for what you did. He gladly took your place. So when you sin, don't run from him run to him!!
John 8:10-11 NASB
“Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
“No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared.”
