Abraham didn't know that he would be the father of many nations until God told him. Gideon didn't know that he was a mighty warrior until an angel told him. David didn't know that he, a shepherd boy, would be king of all Israel until Samuel, the prophet, told him his true identity.
Identity determines destiny.
Many Christians live their whole lives far below their God-given identity. They never discover and live out God’s purposes and plans for their lives.

To do the works of God we must have the character of God.
God gives us the Holy Spirit, so we can hear him and enter into loving relationship with Him. Holy Spirit is also in us to lead us, correct us, and teach us. He gives us the power to do the right thing, to live godly lives. And, as He is our source of power to do the supernatural works of God on the earth.
As we yield to God, Holy Spirit transforms us into the people God created us to be. As you walk through this "30 days to Radically Shift Your Identity in Christ" series, you are rejecting the way you used to think about yourself. You are rejecting the way others think about you. You are rejecting the world’s way of thinking. You are renewing your mind with the truths about who God says you are. And what God says you can do.
As you receive God’s Word, Holy Spirit is changing you into a new person.
Romans 12:1 tells us to surrender our lives to God as an act of love.
You see, obedience is the measure of our love for God.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you…
You surrender, Holy Spirit transforms you, “then you will learn to know God’s will for you.”
God's purposes, his plans for your life will be revealed as you are transformed. And you will walk in the character of Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit to complete God’s plans and purposes for your life. This is what you were born for.
