Why are so many Christians Born Again, but Not "Transformed" (deeply changed in character and personality)?
Many people question this. Some believers and unbelievers walk away from God because of it. Paul even shared his frustration. In Romans 7:15, he said:
"I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate."
Today, we'll answer that question and share God's process for changing us that really works.
As a long-time alcoholic, when I became a Christian I was a mess. Today, I share my struggle and the process I learned from others, over a long time, and through much pain.
God can transform your heart in a fraction of the time and without all the pain that I experienced. And that's why we're here.
•God wants to heal the soul wounds that so many of us still have in our lives. We have Pain because of what others did to us that still has power over our lives. We limp through life because of that pain.
•God wants to replace our twisted, ungodly beliefs and thinking with His peace, joy, love and truth.
•He wants to restore to you everything Satan, sin and self, have stolen from you.
•And He wants you, the person He dreamed you could be – the transformed you, to walk into your family, your workplace, your grocery store, your city, your nation and transform your world.
•God made you to be a person of significance and influence.
I promised you a link to Bob Yandian's excellent book "Theology Simplified." It's short, and written in language anyone can understand. I highly recommend it.
